What is CrossFit ?

CrossFit is a training program that consists in performing functional movements at a high intensity; functional movements involve at the same time muscles from the core to the periphery and many articulations. These movements are “functional” to daily life.
CrossFit trains ten skills: cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina (physical and moral strength to resist fatigue), strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy.
CrossFit is the sport of fitness.

CrossFit is a wide, general and complete training program that will totally change your approach to fitness and sport. CrossFit is a program regarding strength and metabolic conditioning of the “core”.
In CrossFit the workout adapts to the athlete level and not vice versa.
An housewife’s needs are not different from those of an athlete, they are on different levels. CrossFit is not specialized, that’s why it prepares you for expected and unexpected situations.
CrossFit is not dangerous. Unskilled trainers are dangerous. Listen to your coach!
CrossFit is a community, a lifestyle in which you live sport in a different way, helping others and accepting their help; CrossFit is sharing and participating.
